Traveling to Makanda, IL

 

Lambert – St. Louis International Airport is the largest airport near Southern Illinois. It's a hub for American and Southwest Airlines so there should be a direct flight from other larger airports.

 

The Carbondale/Makanda area is about 115 miles from the airport, but there are a few ways to make that trip:

 

• Drive! You can rent a car at the airport to make the 2.5 hour drive.

 

• Shuttle! (https://bartshuttle.com/) ~$60 one way to Carbondale. Once you arrive, you may also want to rent a car to get around.
